I can not create a Final XML file without creating the final report in Simsol. If I attach files from other estimating platforms and do not need to create a final report in Simsol, how do I get around this when trying to stack my pdf files in the print menu to create the final xml file for the carrier?

    Nathan,

Thank you for contacting Simsol Support. Due to necessary audits, there is no other way around what you're trying to do without creating a Final Report within Simsol. If you create a Final Report, you will then be able to compile the XML file without a problem.

I'll forward this over to our development team to see if a future release can contain an added feature that may help with this process. Please let us know if you need any additional assistance.

If the estimate that we are using is not created in Simsol, can we manually enter the amount totals into the Final Report in Simsol?

    Nathan,

Yes, you can do this. Head to your Scope of Damage and select the 'Import Estimate' button. In this window you can import the PDF for this claim by selecting File -> Open. Then simply type the Estimate name and the Estimate totals in the bottom right-hand corner. Select 'Import' when complete. You can do this for Building, APS, or Contents Estimates. This will allow your totals to populate in the Final Report, and it will also automatically attach the Estimate's PDF into the attachments section of this claim. All other totals and figures can be entered in within the Final Report's Form Wizard.
